Question:- Is sunscreen enough to protect our skin or do we need more?

Answer :- A sunscreen with an SPF of 30+ should be adequate. But remember to reapply the sunscreen after 2 hours if you are in the sun continuously and after 30 mins when swimming to prevent skin burn

Question:- How to avoid excessive sweating on the face and neck?

Answer:- Sweating is a protective mechanism of the body in order to maintain the core body temperature as optimal. Staying in an air-conditioned room or under the fan will help evaporate the sweat quickly.  Make sure you hydrate yourself with enough water & electrolytes though.

Question:- How to avoid heat rashes during summers? I get them very often

Answer:-  By heat rash are you referring to chafing or small red boils that come over the back and face? Wear loose cotton clothing, have a bath with cool water if possible, and stay in an air-conditioned room if possible or under the fan. Applying a skin rash cream containing calamine lotion & aloe vera will also help soothe the skin and prevent skin rashes and skin burn

Question:-  My skin reacts badly if I use too much of cosmetics during summers ? Is there a way to strike a balance?

Answer:- Your skin will react irrespective of the season. Why do you think it is particularly during the summers? Cleanse and moisturize before and after always and make sure to remove the makeup before you sleep. Try skincare products with organic ingredients or switch to a different brand and see if you still react. You might be allergic to a particular ingredient & the best way to determine that will be a skin patch allergy test.

Question:- Any outing or swimming gives me a bad tan during this weather? Is there a way to avoid the same?

Answer:- Apply a sunscreen with an SPF of 35+ that is water-resistant. Check for ingredients like zinc oxide in your sunscreen as that will give better protection. And don't forget to reapply the sunscreen after 30 mins if you continue to stay in the water. I am sure you know, but it is my responsibility to complete by saying that avoid the afternoon sun always.

Question:- What is the best food for a glowing skin in summers?
Answer:- Glowing skin will be indicative of how you feel from within as well. Things like coconut water, cucumber, mango, and gulkand will not only help you beat the heat but hydrate your body and skin well.
